Centenary Appeal

We originally set a target of £75,000 for the Appeal, but the treasurer is delighted to report that over £80,000 has been raised.  The total includes £1,000 from the Flower Festival, £1,300 from the sale of paintings, more than £2,400 from the sponsored cycle ride  and £3,300 from the Summer Ball.  We also received £2,000 from the Murray Napier Fund and £3,000 from the Friends of Crown Court, as well as many individual donations from members of the congregation.

Expenditure on the various refurbishment projects came to around £100,000, and whilst it was always intended that part of this cost should be met from reserves, the Appeal Fund will remain open during 2010 for those who would still like to make a donation.
