The Christmas Market takes place on Saturday 22 November. The format will be the same as our very successful event last year, and we will retain our usual stalls selling all those essential items for Christmas: candles, gifts, preserves, tablet, home baking, stocking fillers, decorations, etc. There will be some new competitions as well as the old favourites, a greatly increased version of the ever-popular lucky numbers stall, and games and activities for the children. Tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and ploughman’s lunches will be available throughout the day, and again this year items will be priced individually so you can have exactly what you fancy whenever you like.
If you have any new unwanted gifts that would be suitable for any of the stalls, these will be very welcome. Any offers of home baking for the teas or the cake stall will also be greatly appreciated (please see Janet Dowswell or Margaret Ross). And if you have any other new ideas for stalls, games, competitions or anything else that we could introduce to the Market, do come forward and share your ideas.
We also need volunteers to help set up on Friday 21 November, and to man the stalls and prepare and serve refreshments on the day. If you are able to help in any way, please speak to the church secretary.
The Market is our major fund-raising event of the year, and many people put a great deal of work into making it a success, so please do come along and support the efforts of your fellow members.
