Harvest Thanksgiving Sunday 14 October

Once again this harvest we are collecting food items for the Westminster Food Bank, based at Westminster Chapel. This is part of a nationwide network of food banks overseen and supported by the Trussell Trust. In partnership with front-line care professionals who identify people in need and give vouchers, the food bank provides three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced (non-perishable) food to residents of Westminster who are experiencing financial crisis. Here is a list of items requested by the food bank. This year we will also be donating some of the items to Bruce House for their emergency store cupboard for the young people living there.

Christmas Market Saturday 17 November

This year’s Christmas Market will be held in the hall on Saturday 17 November from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm.  Our famous home baking, jams, preserves and tablet will be on sale as usual, together with gifts, crafts, and plants.  There will be games and competitions with prizes and the ever-popular lucky numbers stall.  Ploughman’s lunches, tea, coffee and cakes will be available at any time all day, so you won’t go hungry!  This year we will also be hoping to run a silent auction to raise funds for the Organ Renovation Appeal.

Please put the date in your diary and come along to support this important event in the church calendar.  We will be looking for people to help man the stalls, serve refreshments, contribute baking for the cake stall and the teas, hand out fliers in Covent Garden Piazza and other necessary tasks.  And if you have any other ideas for the Market, or suggestions for suitable items for the silent auction, please speak to the Church Secretary.
