Christian Aid Week is fast approaching, and Crown Court will once again be collecting at London Tube and railway stations: on Thursday 16 May at Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations and on Friday 17 May at Liverpool Street mainline station, along with Liverpool Street and/or Bank tube stations. All who wish to join the collecting team will be welcome, for as much or as little time as you can spare between 7 am and 9.30 am, and/or 4.30 pm and 7 pm.
No special expertise is required, and collecting buckets and tabards are provided for free! For more details contact the Christian Aid Convener, Andy Tait, on 07769 642421, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or sign up on the sheet on the notice board in the hall.
This year we will be participating in a trial of cashless collecting methods. It will be very interesting to see whether this new method will result in more money being collected than the traditional cash in the bucket method.
