2009 Centenary Year events - update!

Dates of the various centenary celebrations have now been finalised.  We hope that members and friends of the congregation will want to join in as many of these events as possible, so please do put them in your diaries now!

Friday 19 June – centenary dinner and ball at the Caledonian Club, Halkin Street, Belgravia

Saturday/Sunday 20/21 June – choir reunion

Wednesday 24 – Saturday 27 June – sponsored cycle relay ride from Church of Scotland headquarters in Edinburgh to Crown Court, with all invited to join in the final leg through London on the Saturday.  The intrepid cyclists undertaking the relay are James Chestnut, Jamie Aitchison and John Taylor.  Further details about how to sponsor them, and how to join in the final leg through parks and cycle tracks in London, will be available shortly.

Sunday 19 July – congregational picnic

Friday 18 – Sunday 20 September – flower festival with a songs of praise theme, and a songs of praise service on Sunday evening

Tuesday 6 October – Calvin lecture, as part of the Calvin 09 celebrations

Saturday 31 October – centenary social in the church hall

Sunday 29 November – service of thanksgiving to be attended by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
