The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Right Reverend Lorna Hood, will be visiting London from 25 November to 2 December.  She will be preaching here in Crown Court at the morning service on Sunday 1 December, and will join us for lunch in the hall afterwards.

This is also the first Sunday in Advent, and quarterly communion, so we look forward to a good turn-out of members to meet the Moderator.

CrossReach is the social care arm of the Church of Scotland and is a major provider of more than 70 care and support services across Scotland, including residential and day care settings.

Its newsletter, now called CrossReach News, is available on the welcome desk in the hall and can also be downloaded from the website.  Please read or take a copy – you never know when the information might come in useful (for family back home).  CrossReach was a pioneer of dementia care, opening the first specialist home in 1983!
