This is the third of these services organised jointly with St Columba’s Church, Pont Street, with the aim of reaching out to Scots and other Presbyterians who work in the City and who may not be aware of the existence of our two churches or may be unable to attend church on Sundays. It will take place on Thursday 12 May in St Margaret’s Church, Lothbury, EC2R 7HH, at 6.30 pm, and will be followed by a reception, at which there will be the opportunity to meet and chat with members of St Columba’s as well as any others who may attend the service. The preacher at the service will be our own Minister, Reverend Philip Majcher, and our Organist, Geoff Higgins, will lead a combined choir from our choir here and the St Columba’s congregational choir.
All are welcome to attend, and we hope that many of you will find your way into the wilds of the City on 12 May! We are also looking for help in publicising the event, so if anyone is able to put up posters anywhere in the City, or could take some fliers to put in libraries, or in the workplace, please speak to the Church Secretary.
There will be a further Kirk in the City Service at 6.30 pm on Tuesday 29 November, also in St Margaret’s Church, Lothbury, when the preacher will be the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. Please put this date in your diary now.
