There will be no lunches during August, in order to give the lunch teams a break.
The provision of lunches after the morning service on Sundays is a very important part of our fellowship, which is greatly appreciated by members and visitors alike, and we are most grateful to everyone who helps to keep this going. However, sometimes the amount of money collected for the lunches is less than it should be if everyone who has lunch paid the £2 requested. The money collected goes to reimburse those who provide lunches for the ingredients used, and any surplus helps to provide necessary equipment for the kitchen, so it would be greatly appreciated if in future everyone who is able to pays the small amount to cover lunch costs.
Additionally, we’re always looking to recruit more volunteers to help with the provision of lunches. If this is something you think you could help with, please speak to the Lunch Convener, Marlene Tyler, who will fill you in on what is required.
