CEO Sleepout 2018

Borderline is looking for people from all sectors to join them for CEO Sleepout, a challenge event raising money for three homeless charities, of which Borderline is one.  Participants will give up their beds for just one night in favour of the stands of Lord’s Cricket Ground, to raise awareness of what many homeless people experience every night.

The event will take place on 29 October and participants will be expected to raise £2,000.  You will recall that the Minister and John Mowbray both took part in this event in 2017 and successfully reached the fundraising target.  Could you emulate their achievement this year?  For further information please contact Olivia Levins at olivia.levins@borderline-uk.org or 0845 4562.

Data Protection

New regulations governing the way in which the church stores and processes personal information about members have recently come into force.

We keep details of members’ names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses for the purposes of keeping in touch with you and sending you this newsletter, the church magazine, papers for the Annual Business Meeting, and other relevant information.  Details are kept securely on the church computer and on paper files in the church office.  You have a right to know what information we hold about you, and to let us know if you do not want us to keep this information.

The Kirk Session is in the throes of developing the required policies, and further detailed information will be contained in the next issue of The Chronicle, which is due to be published on Sunday 26 August.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact our Data Protection Co-ordinator, Elspeth Gordon, safeguarding@crowncourtchurch.org.uk
