New regulations governing the way in which the church stores and processes personal information about members have recently come into force.
We keep details of members’ names, addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses for the purposes of keeping in touch with you and sending you this newsletter, the church magazine, papers for the Annual Business Meeting, and other relevant information. Details are kept securely on the church computer and on paper files in the church office. You have a right to know what information we hold about you, and to let us know if you do not want us to keep this information.
The Kirk Session is in the throes of developing the required policies, and further detailed information will be contained in the next issue of The Chronicle, which is due to be published on Sunday 26 August.
