Sunday Club

Sunday Club crownsIt has been a busy season for the children at Crown Court Church. Over the period of Lent the children saved some of their pocket money and raised a total of £16.35 which was donated to Mary’s Meals.

On Easter Sunday there was an Easter Egg hunt up in the church. No egg was left unfound and all tummies filled with chocolate eggs.

On our special Coronation Sunday Service crowns were made and decorated.

Thank you to all the volunteers who help with Sunday Club. If you wish to become a Sunday School teacher please speak to the Sunday School Team.

Church Lunches

Image of sandwich ingredientsThe lunch team is looking for a few more volunteers to prepare and serve lunch for the congregation after church. It’s a wonderful time for fellowship, and we hope to be able to continue having lunches on a weekly basis, but we do need your help!

If you’re interested, why not team up with a friend? A simple sandwich lunch is all that’s needed, though you’re welcome to be more ambitious! Sign up behind the tea counter in the church hall, and if you have any questions, feel free to chat to Marlene or Mary-Jannet over tea and coffee after the service.

Christian Aid Week

This year Christian Aid week will take place from 14 until 20 May. During Christian Aid week envelopes will be available in the pews for anyone who wishes to donate during the week. In June there will be a retiring collection following the Communion Service for the charity.

You can also donate remotely via an e-envelope to support to the great work of this organisation across the world. Please get in touch with Shona Campbell (Christian Aid convenor) via the Church Office if you would like an e-envelope.

On 21 May, everyone is welcome to join a light lunch after the Church Service. We ask for a small donation and all funds raised will be donated to Christian Aid.
